Bettina Ranch studied violin before she switched to singing. After studying in Berlin and Cologne, she is currently supervised by Professor Andreas Karasiak (Mainz). After engagements at professional vocal ensembles, they became increasingly committed soloists, including Helmuth Rilling, Marcus Creed, Rupert Huber, Rolf Beck, Erwin Ortner, Olari Elts and Morten Schuldt - Jensen. The Contralto is working with orchestras such as Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Hannoversche Hofkapelle, Elbipolis Barock Orchestra, Concerto Köln, Le Concert Lorraine, Dresdner Kapellsolisten, Leipziger Kammerorchester, Munich Bachsolisten, Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, Bach - Collegium Stuttgart, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Radio - Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Bochum Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Wuppertal, Orquesta Sinfonica RTVE Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano G. Verdi, Schleswig - Holstein Festival Orchestra.

In 2007 she made her debut at the Grand Theatre Luxembourg and at the Berlin State Opera with a production of Medea by Pascal Dusapin opera in a production directed by Sasha Waltz. In autumn 2007, the alto again follows an invitation from the Bach Academy in Krasnoyarsk / Siberia as a soloist at various concerts and teaches a master class for singers at the Academy of Music. In 2009 she was at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam, the International Arts Festival Melbourne, engaged at the Opera de Lille, as well as with Bach's B minor Mass conducted by Helmuth Rilling in Bach Week in Ansbach. In addition, recordings were made for NAXOS with sacred music by Franz Schubert (including Mass in AS - Major) with the Leipzig Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Morten Schuldt – Jensen.

2010 she sang at a guest performance of Medea at the Brussels Opera and worked again with Helmuth Rilling in several concerts, with Mendelssohn's Paulus in Madrid and Milan. In October, she was cast in the role of Lucilla in the opera Berenice and Lucilla by Christoph Graupner in Darmstadt. (Director: Sigrid T'Hooft, Cond: Wolfgang Seeliger)

2011 Bettina Ranch sings the title role in Handel's Ariodante with the ensemble così facciamo in Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland. (Director: Kobie van Rensburg). 2011/2012 she is at the Kassel State Theatre to hear in the title role in Handel's Giulio Cesare, as well as in Mozart's Magic Flute (3.rd Lady) at the Staatsoper in Hamburg.
2012-2014, she will sing at the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, the role of Flosshilde in Wagner's Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung conducted by Hartmut Haenchen, Flosshilde in Walküre conducted by Simone Young and again the 3.rd Lady in Mozart´s Magic Flute at the Staatsoper Hamburg.
